    please can you help me

Yo, MH support worker/aspiring nurse here.

It totally depends on context - who the patient is, what has upset them, what is the current situation (threatening? 1-1 or group? location?) and wot not. It is hard for me to answer in general because people can be so different.

I would always say - listen to them. They often have the best idea about what is wrong and what might help them cope.

Whenever I was really stuck, I made them a brew. Just to show them, even though I don't know what to say, I care.
