Boo hoo. If ore has rocketed it's hardly a sob story for blacksmiths, because they should mine, I do. Mining for bronze I always get more copper than tin on like a 3/4-1 ratio which means a LOT of excess copper which on Kul Tiras sells for 3g sometimes, at least 1.5 and mining your own components isn't exactly difficult anyway. So who cares about the jewelcrafting part.

As for the ganking in neutral areas, don't use a PvP server then, or if you do, isn't it the whole point to be ganked? Booty bay, crossroads - no difference which one you're at, it's annoying both ways but you have agreed to do that to yourself!

In general these things don't really matter. I've never played without TBC mind you, so I don't know what it was like, but it seems perfectly playable to me and I'm ony a level 23 with no higher character or even a guild to help me... I have 34 gold, after buying 3 rares. So if AH prices rocket just be savvy and you can turn it into an advantage.

Can anybody tell me what +6 crit strike rating actually does. I'm a level 23 and I bought this level 24 ring because I assumed that being for level 24's it would be better than what I'm using now (something for the teens...) I crit 7.7% of the time at the moment, what would that go upto? (Next 3 level ups I'll be adding another percentage though, top fury warrior talent.)

Can't wait to be level 24. Not only will I get that ring, my level 14 belt will become a level 24 one. Better yet, I'll get two blues! Blue one hand mace, and blue chestpiece I made. Go Galapticus!

What's a nicer place to level, Ashenvale or Stonetalon mountains? Ashenvale seems to be a load of crappy quests needing groups, it's annoying me.

Also, where can I get a good source of iron. Arathi is too high for me, should I brave 1000 needles or is there a lower level place I can go?

no offence, but if you're only level 23, i don't think you know what you're talking about...especially since you only got it after bc came out

and i said i only agreed with SOME of the points (ofc if it's pvp server then you're kinda asking for it...never complained about that...) - i'm talking about the quality of gear being the same for gear that WAS hard to get and is NOW very easy to get...especially since i was looking forward to doing naxx etc pre-tbc, now there's no point and it's been rendered useless...which is annoying.

    *is very proud of Galapticus*

Good source of iron = Arghboth

I have officialy stolen (well, been given) my brother's level 50 gnome warrior. He has lots of iron ore =D and other lovely things. If you were on the same server, I would consider giving some of it to you, but my jewelcrafter is benifiting instead. Yum yum.

You know, I agree with a lot of that article. But I don't think this is the death of WoW. The developers are probably aware of some of the problems, and as thus I'm sure patches will begin to fix things.

    I have faith =)

I'v just turned lvl 60 the other day and entered BC for the first time, not too keen on the whole thing. I'v found myself making different alt chars all day today, just for the fun of beiing a blood elf :P
Although there is rumors of another expantion pack next year, u can already see it in your map at the top, looks all snowy yeyyy!

I used to play. But I got bored after a while. Also, I got poor and couldn't afford the sub fee.

Though I had a habit of attracting horde raiding parties wherever I went. It was always amusing, and frustrating getting constantly ganked.

I play it, though I still don't actually have the game. I should have my new laptop within the next week (hopefully) and then it'll be worthwhile for me to have it myself.

Anyway, I have a level 23 Tauren warrior on Kul Tiras... and I also have a level 10 Troll mage on some PvP server but that's only been played with a 10 day free trial, half of which I spent on holiday... hence him only being level 10!

I asked this in my thread about WoW but nobody answered, so I'll just ask here too - what does +6 crit strike rating do? It's a level 24 ring I have waiting for me in the bank, it sounded good so I bought it in the AH, but I'm not 100% on what it is...

I played for about a year but I stopped for my own good. A tad too addictive.

tis me lord, I had a look on the wowwiki page on combat ratings and discovered using this calculator that +6 crit rating at level 24 will give you an extra 1.5% crit chance. Very nice for a level 24 ring. But be warned, as you level up 6 crit rating will do less and less. If you were to still wear that ring at level 70 (which you really shouldn't be...) it would give you less than .3% crit.

Thanks for the help! So from level 23-24 my crit will increase by 2.5% (1% in talent) - nice.

    WoW
I've just got WoW (well, I've downloaded a trial. I also have the full version if I decide I want to carry on playing) but I don't know which server to go in? Does anybody want to suggest a server and we could run around...and do whatever you do on WoW for a bit, lol.

    Re: WoW
There are different types of servers, so you should choose which type you want first:

    normal-bog standard play
PvP- Player vs player servers, you can be attacked freely by people from other factions in areas of level 15+. This might seem bad, but also realise that you can attack them also...
RP-Roleplaying servers. I wouldn't suggest starting in one of these. You must act in character and not speak of real life at all. They can be quite fun but I don't think you should start in one.
RPPvP- Roleplaying pvp servers, you get the gist.

You should choose one of the recommended servers, and choose the type you want from one of those.

    Re: World of warcraft
I used to play this alot, it really took over my life no joke, when you're addicted you dont stop playing, however I still managed to pass college :P the game just gets boring once you've done everything you can because in the end you just keep doing the same thing over and over and over.

If I were you give up now, play a different game! If not dont even think about joining serious raiding guilds especially if you're at uni because its like come on everyday 6pm and we'll raid till 1am, its pointsless :P
