Transfer from Engineering to Maths!

    Hello! One of my friends is going to warwick with an offer in EE but he has regretted about his choice and he is thinking about transferring to the Maths department at the end of the first year, by taking the relevant maths modules in the first year. However under the engineering course structure the optional modules listed do not include any maths except the foundation maths module(which doesn't really help!) So is he allowed to take maths modules even if they are not included in the engineering course?

    Looks like he only has one optional module from a restricted list, so no. However, it is usually possible to transfer degree right at the start of the first year, with agreement from both departments, providing you meet the entry requirements for the degree you're transferring into.
