is this for the 2017 'barcode'/gtin task?

no it is for the 2017 controlled assessment its sentence splitter x

Best advice is to get yourself a large body of text, several sentences that include punctuation. Then try to undertake the set task by hand and on paper.

Then ask yourself the question what did you do? The answer to this then becomes your algorithm for your solution.

This task however will probably hinge on whether YOU think What, what, "what!", what? are different words or one word and several different types of punctuation and a capital letter. (so potentially Task 2 plus a bit of file reading at a trivial end of the solution spectrum) Make sure you are quite clear in your analysis what you expect, so this paper approach will serve you well if you are allowed to scan in it in and add it to your digital commentary of your work.
