How do you get a student loan?

I am studying a Cambridge curriculum in Portugal and planning on going to a university in the UK. However, I was wondering if the student loan process is only available for students who are studying in the UK, and not from somewhere else in Europe. Please help me

EU students can apply for a tuition fee loan but not maintenance.

Someone in my student house is from Portugal :biggrin:

he gets his tuition fee loans from the sfe but his parents pay his house bills, food etc as sfe dont give maintenance loans to EU students
