Really worried about what my academic reference maybe after AS. Firstly, can my teachers predict me lower than my actual AS grade? For example I'm doing Geography AS and I'm getting A's in tests etc, however for GCSE I got a C, i'm thinking of doing Geography at Uni and I'm worried my teacher will predict me a C because that's what I got at GCSE. Also, on UCAS for the reference guidelines it says the referee should compare a students performance with others in their class. In English, many many people get A's and B's constantly, no I'm got an A grade student and it's not because I don't work hard because I do, and my teacher always comments on the effort that goes into my essays which is a good thing, but I'm averaging on a B/C -I've only ever got an A once in an English essay this year. So in my reference is my teacher likely to say I'm a poor student compared to others in my class? However, if I do get an A in the AS exam due to intense revision is my teacher likely to predict me the same or not? Because like I said I don't get A's consistently throughout the year, so he might not think I'm capable of it; although he knows I work hard, he knows others get A's consistently and therefore might only predict me a B even if I get an A in the real exam. Is this likely?
