Is a history of art degree hard to get into from a too university?

I'm not talking of Oxbridge top, perhaps somewhere like Birmingham and Manchester, their typical offer is ABB, if I JUST get predicted these grades, will I stand a chance of getting in with a good personal statement on why I want to take the course, also I take History A level so does this put me in a good position and I'm taking the EPQ??
Art History is an academic subject and is mostly offered by the 'older' Unis. These are the two basic reasons why it often has a high grade requirement. However, there are Unis that ask for lower grades - Oxford Brookes, Bath Spa, Brighton - all good Unis and worth considering.

ALL Unis look at more than your A level / GCSE grades - you will need a convincing PS as well. Try and answer the question 'Why I am interested in Art History' (PS. the answer isnt 'because I like doing both at A level' btw), with some examples of what you have done outside school to show this (visiting galleries, listening to relevant talks and lectures, academic reading etc).

You might find some of the Oxford podcasts useful : https://podcasts.ox.ac.uk/series/history-art (dont worry if you don't understand all of it, just get the ideas about what doing HIstory of Art is all about). 'Easier' ones are from the RA : https://www.royalacademy.org.uk/articles/tag/podcasts and this one on Women Artists from the V&A : http://www.vam.ac.uk/content/articles/v/v-and-a-podcast-women-artists/

Good Luck!
