1. 11 A cubic curve has equation y = f(x). The curve crosses the x-axis where x = -1/2 , −2 and 5.
Write down three linear factors of f(x). Hence find the equation of the curve in the form
y = 2x3 + ax2 + bx + c.

I have the first bit where the linear factors are (2x+1)(x+2)(x-5)
But how would i find the equation of the curve?

Pls help thank u so much aha
2. expand the 3 linear factors
3. Multiply out the brackets.
4. Expand the brackets out.

So (2x+1)(x+2)(x-5) = 2x(x2+2x-5x+2)-5(x2+2x-5x+2)...
