It'd be easier to answer it if you gave context about the experiment and whats in the solutions...

Measuring the uptake of calcium ions by plant cells using solutions containing different concentrations of calcium ions.

Perhaps heating the solution to drive out the dissolved oxygen? Or adding oxygen scavenging agent?
