Should I travel to north Korea?

If you want to be herded like cattle the entire time you are there, go for it. I did a visa run there once from China, and it's just not fun. You have to stay with an organized tour group and are not allowed to do any independent travelling. It feels more like being on a prison outing than a vacation. You don't get a real insight to the country, just what they want you to see, and there's just a really creepy vibe about the whole experience, in my opinion. Just because you can go there doesn't mean it's a nice place to go. If you just have a morbid curiosity, go for a couple days, then go somewhere nice (like South Korea) soon after. Also, don't take any photos of anything, or risk being thrown in prison.
