    Can somebody explain the P1V1/T1 = P2V2/T2 equation to me and what it means? I really don't understand how to rearrange it and find T1, for example. Thanks!

    the ( pressure x volume) /temp in state 1 will be same in state 2

    just think you have a system. if you increase volume of the system you will decrease the pressure of the system and vice vera.
