Why bother with a post grad course - waste of time? 17-10-2016

Hi guys... I have offers from all three universities but I am unsure which one I should choose. I'd like to hear opinions about these universities overall and about the computer science course. I'm not from UK so I don't really know how well-regarded these universities are in UK and around the world, and I know that league tables don't tell the whole truth. I would be very grateful for any help.

You will have to choose between King's and Manchester.

Right now I am in Manchester I just finished foundation year. I got accepted to both universities. There is no chance I will stay in Manchester, it is the worst city I have ever been to. 1 in 10 is homeless, streets are very dirty. In terms of teaching, computer science department is good, but the building itself is a bit old compared to other buildings. in terms of employability King's is better. overall reputation King's better. if we take only Comp Sci department manchester has a slight edge but I would never choose it over king's.. there is not much they can teach differently from kings.. manchester as a city itself is much cheaper than london so it all depends on what you can afford. if you can't afford London, these two universities for CS are the same and you can go to Manchester in that case.
