Exam technique tips

Just thinking about exam technique ....

What are your best tips?

Or maybe your teachers have some good ones?

Could be for particular subjects or general.

I think mine would be:

- always make sure you answer the exact question directly
- make the length of your answers to questions (and parts of questions) match the number of marks available ie write more when more marks are up for grabs and don't write loads for 1 or 2 mark questions
- and the obvious one ... plan your timing so you finish the whole paper

What are your best tips?
Make sure you are prepared
Be calm
Always check your answers even if you feel that you have checked enough
Going into the exam with the belief that whatever happens you will smash it in a good way

Great tips - I love the idea of going into the exam with a really positive frame of mind. After all, this your chance to show the examiner what you know and what you can do. Take that opportunity.
