Capacitors

If two capacitors are connected in series with same charge each But one having a higher capacitance than the other surely the one with the higher capacitance gets less voltage due to C= Q/V ... But why does it get more energy overall..if it gets less voltage?

Energy = 1/2 C V ^2 or 1/2 Q^2 / C

Look at the second equation - If Q is the same then the big capacitor has less energy

Inthe first equation, although C maybe bigger, V is smaller and because V is squared, energy is less overall.
