Because the list isn't that indicative of much. Linkedin had a better one but they took it down :frown:

Ah okay, was that previous list a lot more different to this one?

Not really, but Durham was above Notts, Bristol and Bath which is where it should be. Ofc some quirks like imperial being last and Southampton showing up were strange - but overall it was about right.

But yeah the grouping is pretty standard now:
Targets
Oxbridge, LSE, UCL, Warwick and Imperial

Strong semi:
Durham, Notts, Bristol, Bath and Cass

Semi:
Edinburgh, St As, KCL, Exeter, Manchester and maybe Loughborough/York

Then everything else but ofc RG unis are more slightly more represented in the nontarget category

Yeh weird because it doesn't fit with your narrative lmao.

Let's just ignore all other sources which goes against your preconceptions  (p.s. what is Cass is doing there, only its postgrad courses have rep - no way is it a 'strong semi', Edi and St A have better reps than Cass - which banks even sponsors their finance societies??)

FYI Durham DOES appear on the list if you click on the links (GS and JPM). But they don't make it into the global rankings, only appearing in the European rankings.

It's not a narrative brah, I've been collecting actual data on spring week and summer classes for a while now - and that's exactly how the windfall is.

Looooooool, do you even know anyone at Cass?? Just linkedin cass incoming S&T summer analyst/analyst or cass incoming investment banking summer analyst/analyst.

The sources are mostly BS, that is why.

you do realise it is simple - the uni rep / grades etc only take you to the interview that is it (maybe not if you screw up the pre interview tests) then it comes down to you.

I would say it doesn't even matter that much about uni - being able to write a good cv is as good a whitlling tool to get rid of people and reduce applicant numbers as uni rep is (to a degree) - when such whittling is required

But ofc it is obs that if you have a good cv, you are likely to go to one of the listed unis... but still, the list is meh - dont pay much attention to it

That's still pretty damn significant, if not the most important part - sure the interview can be tough but it's much easier to sell yourself in person than via a CV or arbitrary (bs) application questions

Hello, I will study MSc in Finance at Cass this fall. Does anybody know the class profile of the 2016 intake? What types of jobs did the students get after graduating?
