There is a job I would like to apply for which is a 6 month programme doing beauty and it's kind of like an apprenticeship but with minimum wage rather than apprenticeship wage.
Problem is the start date is 20th of june and I have a holiday booked for 1st of july for a week and I feel like it would be stupid to go to an interview and mention I need a week off just after starting.
Does anyone think this will be a big problem?

yeah you would be expected to cancel the holiday if they were to offer you the position, if you insisted on going it might reflect badly on you as itd seem like you dont take the placement very seriously

    Tell them you've booked it.
They can't say no as you had it booked and paid for before you went for the job.

Wait until u get job and then tell them before you accept, having figured out whether you are happy to drop your holiday if they insist on start day

I've always told them once I got the job, or at least make them aware at the end of the interview
