Is this fair?

A boy at my school was sent nudes by a girl, he then showed a couple of people and the girl got upset. The girl went to her tutor and the boy was suspended, yet the girl had no punishment.
Do you believe this to be fair?

Unless the girl sent nudes to the boy whilst on school grounds, then it is not within the Tutor's jurisdiction to punish the girl for doing so.

Also, what the boy did was douchey. Although she should know better than to send random people intimate photos of her person especially if they're under the legal age of consent as that constitutes child pornography.

In my opinion both deserve suspension, and the girl's legal guardian's informed
I think it is fair. If he didn't want them he could've reported it but by showing other people, he upset her as she didn't intend for them to be public. Technically by being humiliated, she has already had her punishment.

Then how was it within the tutor's jurisdiction to punish the boy? None of it was in school.
Anyway, something being douchy surely isn't grounds for suspension?

If they are both under the age of consent then he was effectively holding and potentially distributing child pornography which is pretty serious. The tutor has a legal obligation to protect minors.

Plus what the guy did was just douchey.

If that's the case, then surely the girl both created and distributed child pornography, which is worse.

Really though, do you believe the situation to be fair?

Oh and she wasn't distributing child porn?

Both deserved to be punished and both party's parents should have been informed.

Honestly, no. I do think that the girl should be reprimanded for being stupid enough to send such explicit pictures of herself to people she evidently shouldn't have trusted.

But at the same time on a personal level, she most likely sent them to him in confidence which he broke so he was more so in the wrong (which admittedly doesn't mean anything in a legal context).

Both of them deserve punishment.

You're right of course. I allowed my intense dislike of douchebags who go around showing off pictures that were clearly sent in confidence to cloud my better judgement.
I don't think she should be punished but I think her parents should be told what she's doing and explain to her that she shouldn't be doing it unless she's okay with everyone seeing. The person showing the pictures shouldn't have done that because its really crappy thing to do, especially if he asked her for the pictures which I assume he did because no one would send they randomly? But I don't think he should of been suspended, maybe a detention and a lesson about why its not okay, and parents informed also.

I think it was fair that he was suspended, because hopefully that will make everyone in the school realise that showing other people things a someone sent you with trust is not acceptable. And its a disgusting thing to do. However both the girl and boy and wrong, the girl was stupid for trusting him with such images. But the boy was insensitive, selfish, mean and a betrayer.
Everyone here acting like they have never sent nudes.
If you're going to send a nude. Don't include your face in it.
So when you're confronted , just say it's a pic from google.

Oldest book in the trick, i mean oldest trick in the book.
Darn it, people trying to act smart and say it's child porno, i know it is. But really?
And inform the girls parents? really?
Idgaf about the boy, but if you tell the girls parents her social life will be in ruins. Plus, i believe the shame and regret she felt thar day would be so devasting that she would never send another nude.

I'm meant to be revising, FUDGE

Should i pull an all nighter and cram everything into my brain?

As ridiculous as is it is, this is right. There are potentially two offences here and he's lucky the police weren't involved
