Wearable noise generators?

What I'm asking for, seems to be impossible to get hold of...

I'm partially sighted, I'm slightly deaf in one ear, I also have Hyperacusis, (my hearing is too sensitive) tinnitus and Auditory Processing Disorder. Because of my APD, I have to have something which blocks out background noise, which is where both my hearing therapist and the hearing and sight centre are struggling.

Hearing aids, according to ENT won't help me (because I'm not that deaf) and according to my HT, they're too loud for me. (I'm slightly deaf in one ear and have Hyperacusis in the other) This is where we're struggling a lot.

I was given an aid to put into my ear which gives off white noise. But I can't see the switch. It works and is what I need. Apparently, there's no such thing for me which would go over my ear, rather than in it.

Because of my hearing problems, I can't currently use my mobile phone. (I currently have to use the loud speaker which is much clearer) I've just got it; so can't justify getting something else.

Short of wearing earphones all the time, does anyone know if there's a device I can use? Not due to see anyone until August. Can't really wait that long.
