Don't understand how sin(theta) was formed. =/

sin⁡(A−B)=sin⁡Acos⁡B−sin⁡Bcos⁡A\sin(A-B) = \sin A \cos B - \sin B\cos A

Do that with A=πA = \pi and B=θB = \theta:

sin⁡ϕ=sin⁡(π−θ)=sin⁡πcos⁡θ−cos⁡πsin⁡θ\sin \phi = \sin(\pi - \theta) = \sin \pi \cos \theta - \cos \pi \sin \theta

Now remember that sin⁡π=0\sin \pi = 0 and cos⁡π=−1\cos \pi = -1
