I have a few questions about rejecting my firm choice on results day.I've been given an offer from Durham for A*AA (typical offer), yet I'm considering rejecting their offer on results day and reapplying next year. This is mainly because I feel I should have asked for deferred entry originally (mainly because I'd like to earn a bit of money before I go to university, get a bit of work experience etc...), but when I emailed them earlier in the year, they didn't allow me to defer my offer. I would only reject the offer if I exceeded the grades required (i.e. A*A*A or better) because I wouldn't risk reapplying with only the exact grades required. My questions are:
1) How would I go about rejecting my offer on results day? Do I just send them an email? Do I have to contact Student Finance and UCAS as well? Basically, what are the logistics?
2) Is Durham likely to give me another offer next year if I reapply with better grades than the course requirements, or would they not?I'm keen to go to Durham, but I'd much rather go after a year out, as it would make my time at university much more enjoyable.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
