Hi, typically you will receive your student finance at the beginning of term but that will be dependent on if you apply for finance in good time.
I would recommend speaking to the SLC direct if you have any further queries https://www.gov.uk/contact-student-finance-england

Last Monday of September, first Monday of January, first Monday of April...
remember those dates they're gonna be your time to partyyy hard
edit: sometimes people get that first payment a bit late but it's usually no more than a week and depends on when you applied for Student Finance
