University Park Chances?

Hi Everyone,

If applying for accommodation on results day then what are the chances of getting any kind of room in University Hall? And also do you apply for the specific hall you want e.g. Derby, Hugh Stuart etc or do you just put University Park and wait for the lottery?

I applied on results day and managed to get university park. I also know quite a few who did the same. You can specify a hall, but i would just wait and see where you are placed, if you want to maximise your chances of getting onto university park. Just apply as soon as you can.

If you apply for University accommodation and get placed somewhere else that you don't like, there are always rooms that become available in the first few days/weeks as people decide they don't like University and leave. So if you really want to be on UP, ask the accommodation office after you get there, there's always a chance.
