I have two offers to teach maths via School Direct (my other choice was PGCE but I have withdrawn from that).

Both have age range 11-18 and are 'outstanding'.

    School 1
    School type: Foundation
    School Gender of entry: Mixed
    Denomination: None
    Admissions policy: Comprehensive
A*-C in English and maths GCSEs: 59%

    School 2
School type: Academy - Converter Mainstream
    Gender of entry: Boys
    Denomination: Roman Catholic
    Admissions policy: Comprehensive
A*-C in English and maths GCSEs: 71%

I cannot choose between them. Both were exceptionally positive about me and I really enjoyed being there. What should I be prioritising in my training year?

What should I be prioritising in my training year? - You.

Which school did you have a good feeling about, did you like the layout of, the staff were friendly etc.

Looking at those facts, I'd choose School 1 purely because it's mixed.
Learning to deal with hormonal girls is just an important as learning to deal with hormonal boys and the % of passes is lower - it'll be a challenge at times, but a good enough challenge to help you develop your skills - Not every student will understand your way of teaching maths, it'll enable you to teach in alternate ways.
