Trying to change date? Help!

The guy I'm seeing wants to take me to an amusement park. The problem is, I'm terrified of rollercoasters and don't want to go because it would be a waste of his money and I just wouldnt enjoy myself, and I'd feel guilty for stopping him from potentially going on rides he wants to go on. I told him I'm a wimp when it comes to rides, but realised I didnt make myself clear because he ordered the tickets. I then tried to make an excuse as to why I couldnt go (offering to pay for my ticket of course because of the hassle) but he said he can just change the ticket time instead, and now I don't know what to say. I realise I've made this so much more complicated than it could have been so...advice?!
I recommend you tell him the truth.
