I have this issue regarding friendships. Since I was young, i was moved around a fair amount and that didn't give me that great an opportunity to have developed friendships. Even now, I only have this one friend, who's a bit anxious, bit depressed. My other uni friends are busy with internships/studying.

I need to branch out more, but conversation face to face has never been a strong suite of mine. I kind of freeze up and just ask them their name and walk away. I get nervous. Its a massive stumbling block in life, because I want to contribute, I feel like I have the capacity to contribute and I have things and ideas I want to contribute.

    Any suggestions?

Ask them about themselves, first of all. This worked in school and university when I was shy before.
