Emeralds are still quite rare , I d be too scared to wear something that expensive even with insurance.

emerald are rarer in general but good rubies are worth millions
and insurance will replace it if it got stolen or lost
i'd have it set in a way to prevent it getting loose so most likely a gypsy or channel style

I know how jewellery insurance works from work:tongue: I guess I d be sad to have to send it off for repair being weeks without my engagement ring more than anything.

I m worried about having to get it resized when I eventually have kids, I ve met too many poor pregnant ladies with rings stuck on.
Having it set more safely sounds very sensible.

Complete with an elvis?

Yup, at a drive through wedding
Anything where it's just the two of us, I do not comprehend the bs surrounding weddings at all.
I'd have a big fat African wedding, a traditional customary ceremony and then a modern white wedding. Loads of food, good music and partying until the small hours of the morning. (: I'd chuck in a beautiful wedding dress or two.

Under the sea in a big glass box would be cool

that style lends itself to resizing as you just cut out off the shank and have a new one produced and attached to the original mounting and the stone would only come loose if you took a screwdriver to the mounting

Probably the same as it would be if I ever do get married - literally just me and my husband (if anyone ever wants to wife me!), somewhere pretty but simple and inexpensive, have the ceremony, go for a nice meal afterwards, done. I don't believe in big fancy weddings.
I'm not really too fussed on the place however a hotel with a wedding license probably makes sense both for simpleness and to cut costs. The important things is for it to have a nice view. Small affair with me only really wanting to invite my mother, father, stepfather, sister, half brother, step brother and a few friends (possibly my uncle and his family) so less than 20 people for me and i'd limit the wife to the same amount. She'd be wearing a strapless, fishtail white dress while i'd be in the classic wedding stuff and the reception afterward would be a classy and romantic affair.

So not stunningly expensive in my mind actually.
A massive wedding would be my idea of hell. My boyfriend and I have already agreed that if we get married, our wedding will be just the two of us (plus randomers from the street as witnesses) in Las Vegas with as much tack as possible. So if money was no object, we'd still do that - we'd just have more money to spend in the casino afterwards

I'm not convinced that I would do it again. I think if I did, he would have to do the organising, otherwise we're hitting the registry office on the quiet.

For me it would be just the two of us on some beach abroad somewhere.
What about you?
