Are routines such as hand-washing regular practice in the third world?

    But with soap? Not really

The question should, of course, be whether they pick up first world hygiene habits, which I'd assume they do.

There have been a fair number of cases of recent migrants to Germany and Sweden taking dumps in public (e.g. on trains), but I'd assume its not really a problem once they integrate. Haven't really got statistics for it, however

Well apparently almost a quarter of Syrian refugees resettled in Minnesota have tuberculosis. Seems like something which could be easily remedied by a mandatory quarantine period and sufficient checks. But that would be waycisssst!
