    Why government intervention is BAD?

    Why government intervention is BAD?
Well, it assumes that the government knows what is best for everyone. But they live in the centre of London and earn lots, how do they know what a poor farmer in a rural area needs?

It's also going to cost money, as the government officials will need to be paid (and there are all the behind the scenes roles, like an admin clerk, PA, tea lady etc who also need paying). That money has to come from somewhere, so either existing tax income needs to be allocated to it - which means the funding needs to be removed from somewhere, so NHS or education might lose out - or taxes need to be raised to pay for it.
