Did you know that Canadians....

...celebrate Victoria Day? You know, your ex Queen Victoria. We get a long weekend, a day off of work and it's a huge occasion here.

What do y'all do on Victoria Day ?

:camp: No probs
I eat Victoria Sponge and drink Lady Grey tea
When is Victoria day?
I was totally unaware of its existence, so what I do on that day most likely consists of binge watching stuff on netflix.

So uneventful. All the major parks here shoot fire works, and none of those little dinky fireworks the huge fancy ones.

Ahh you see that's something very Americany and OTT. We Brits prefer the more sophisticated things :yep:

Tomorrow, but everyone's been celebrating since yesterday.
Honestly, there are probably more Canadians who care about the royal family than Brits. A lot of people in Britain are kinda just unenthused by the whole thing. Personally, I'd rather we never had a monarchy. We have a really good democratic system, so why would we want a completely undemocratic institution as well?
