I heard on the news that some schools had to evacuate due a hoax bomb. This ofcourse meant that people taking their exams had to leave. Please tell me what you know about this

Its on the BBC site, which you can find if you google.

um... about as much as you?

26 hoax bomb plots on schools were called in today.

Probably just some people trying to be funny, but wouldn't surprise me if some kids due to take the English exam decided they'd rather have it cancelled.

I've heard that exam boards keep a secondary paper for pupils to sit at a later date in events like this.

On the radio this morning they said that the students would get special consideration and the part of the exam they had already completed would be taken into account as well as coursework and controlled assessments and other work. It seems to be happening in quite a few places.
