Hi was wondering if someone could help me with this question and few others. But ill start with one first.

Q1) A soil is 90% saturated and the volume of water is 0.027m3. WHat is the volulme of the voids?

If im correct 90% saturated soil would mean the mass of water 0.0243
which means the subtract the one from the other you get 0.003 mass of the soild.

but where do i go next? Volume of voids needs either the void ratio, volume of solids or porosity. I have none of these things and i cant see how i can obtain these figures with the information i already know.

    anyone help?
