I am interested in astronomy and have done 120 points at l1 and 60 ant l2 including s282 and 283. I would love to do astronomy based l3 courses but it seems I will need far more study at l2 than I have points for. Has anyone done an ou astronomy course and if so could you give me some advice.

You would need to study mst224 (60 credits) and then you can study level 3. What modules, specifically math based, have you studied? You WILL need MST 224 in order to handle the math in the level 3 modules.
