so glad a thread has been made about this. been researching products online (as i need some new ones for my face, summer always makes me breakout :frown:)

will definitely research the ones you have listed here

ive just recently invested in the Kiehls Blue Herbal Gel Cleanser! im really loving it!!
I also like to use the Lush, Black Angel as a face mask- its really good

ive been looking at Murad and Origins products, as i need an exfoliator
do you know any you would recommend for acne prone skin?

I used to use lush dark angels (It was some charcoal scrub) it worked wonders but was so harsh
Origins products are really good. I'm not too sure if you use face masks but they have called called drink up intensive which is really good to make your skin glow and feel more fab in general here's the link (you can look at the reviews)
http://www.boots.com/en/Origins-Drink-Up-Intensive-Overnight-Mask_1016866/

There's also their ginzeng range which could be suitable as your exfoliator
http://www.boots.com/en/Origins-GinZing-Refreshing-scrub-cleanser-150ml_1475875/

Personally, I tried the pads these ones but they were useless for me
I'm not familiar with murad products so i can't comment but the ones I listed have good reviews

(If you're wondering why I know a fair bit it's because I work at Boots) xP
Hope this helps!

the mask looks soo good! it has a really good rating too thank you so much will definitely be purchasing this! cant wait to try it out!

also, for the Origins spot remover product you just listed, the Kiehls product is similar to it. I think stick with Kiehls and see if it does any justice to my skin haha

omg im so jealous! youre working in my heaven lmao! i love Boots! i spend so much time there browsing and annoying the sale assistants lmao

also, what do you think about the Olay Regenerist products? ive heard great things about them but would it be suitable for acne prone skin? what do you think?

I use quite a lot on my skin but it works for me and considering I use makeup everyday its very important for me to use good skin care.

To remove Makeup

1) Elemis Pro-Radiance Cream Cleanser
OR
2) Liz Earle Hot coth Cleanser

To cleanse face

1) La Roche Posay Effaclar Purifying Cleanser
2) La Roche Posay Effaclar Clarifying Toner
3) La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo + Moisteriser
4) La Roche Posay Effaclar Targeted Blemish Corrector

Every so often maybe once a week or when I'm getting dryer skin in winter I use the LUSH Ocean Salt Cleanser, its like a really thick grainy salt paste which is really amazing to remove flakes

Also for lip balm (which I would consider skin care) best ones are Burts Bees or Carmex

Cetaphil is AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING for dry skin!

Ah thanks! I'll have a look into it.

I'll check out Kiehls for myself too

The ones I listed are very popular products probably their best sellers
Yeah it's a fun place to work

Regenerist as a product is tailored towards older skin type and for skin repair from 40 years and older so those are the targeted demographics so personally I wouldn't use it due to it being for skin which has started showing signs of aging/wrinkles
In relation to it being targeted towards acne I wouldn't of assumed so
The best products for acne (as you probably already know) are those that contain benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid since it targets the acne bacteria directly. Other products that contain glycolic acid are really good as well in fighting acne but with glycolic acid it tends to be used more by dermatologist for special treatment. I'd give them a google if I were you.
I don't really want to introduce you to too many procudts since changing and swapping over your routine can be more harmful than good due to your specific skin type / adaptation but another good product would be this super facialist scrub

Thanks for letting me know. I did think this. Its just that i watched a snapchat video by Mona Kattan (not sure if you know who that is) and she did a Q&A about what products she uses as she suffered from acne. Olay is one she uses alot, and her skin is beautiful!

I will have a look, thank you so much youve been such a great help!! :h:

I've never had a proper routine...I used nothing up until a year ago and use products randomly now...

For exfoliating I switch between the St Ives peach scrub and an electric exfoliating/cleansing brush...

I have the worst dry patches so to deal with those I use the NUXE masque creme fraiche, works amazingly!

Recently bought the No7 Beautiful Skin Hydration Mask for very dry skin...it's okay, not that great..

For my body, I exfoliate and just slap on a body lotion/body butter I'm loving the scent of...love Body Shop's vanilla and spiced cranberry lotions :ahee:

I'll check her out :3

You're welcome
I use the bioré charcoal facial wash, it leaves your skin feeling so clean but not dry. Otherwise the soap and glory cleansing milk is good an removes makeup too. Then the olay beauty fluid for moisturiser, very light formula and has a nice smell. For facial exfoliation I use the clean and clear scrub it's very gentle and not too abrasive. 😊
1) Cetaphil Moisturiser, been using this for a while now and it's pretty good
http://www.boots.com/en/Cetaphil-Moisturising-Lotion-236ml_1238608/

2) Kiehl's Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque - use this less frequently as I bought it for a relatively high price but it always makes my skin feel great afterwards, definitely would recommend especially for anyone with oily skin like me

3) Not a product per se, and this is going to sound really weird, but occasionally I put an "egg mask" on - make sure your face is wet and then put 1 raw egg white on it until it "hardens", then peel it off, make the egg yolk runny by mixing it and then do the same. Used this quite a lot before I started buying products and it's actually quite effective, makes your skin feel really refreshed afterwards
Mate i do nothing

Shower regularly and put aveeno moisturizer on my face lol

I just wash it with soap and havent worn make up in years.

I look rlly bad without make up. How do you survive? Not even eyeliner or lipstick? Or the odd concealor cover up?
I follow the Dr Hauschka regime and use serums by Clarins and Estee Lauder.
Water, water and water...oh yeah, and water.

Idk what else, healthy food? Maybe it's just genetic I have good skin? I do wash my face several times a day with water lol.

Gurl get a routine !

I wouldn't even know where to start :s
When I shower I use the clean & clear advantage oil absorbing cream cleanser on my face
And before I apply my makeup, I use this to moisturise my face ImageUploadedByStudent Room1464374344.362859.jpg

All the fancy, expensive stuff is a rip-off and not worth it at all in my opinion. They also tend to be harsh and full of chemicals so make my skin horrible anyway.

Honey once every two days,
Tea tree oil moisturiser morning and evening,
Coconut oil and sugar scrub when I feel like I need it.

I agree, I don't like to spend a lot of money on products for the same reason. I like using natural products which not only are better for your skin but not nearly as much money. I use Witch Hazel to cleanse and coconut oil to moisturize.
