So yes I have completed 2 years at University and am on a year abroad next year.
A lot of people may find this post a bit pathetic, and in fairness it probably is to an extent.
So I am a gay guy at University, and have been 'on the scene' for 2 years. Been on dates, I'm social, go out clubbing a fair bit, I feel that I am generally a nice guy and easy to get along with. I have had the odd one night stand, but just find it a bit disheartening that after 2 years at University I have not managed to find anyone who mutually felt the same about me.
My University isn't known to have the best gay scene, compared to places such as London, Leeds, Cardiff etc, but at University with 20,000 students in total I thought there surely must be at least one person there for me (statistically at least).
I know gay guys are known to be less relationship inclined, and it is harder due to less option of course, but there are plenty of other gay guys who have 'settled down' and the ones who seem to decide they want a relationship seem to get it fairly quickly.
Is it just my bad luck or is there likely something I'm doing wrong or a turnoff factor I have? I know I'm only young and should be patient but I thought surely after a whole 2 years there would be at least someone......what are other gay guys' experiences of dating at University?
Finished 2 years at University- Didn't manage to meet anyone
