Controlled Assessment results AQA English lang

How did everyone do this year in their controlled assessments?
I got 67/90, which I don't know whether it's good or bad.
Is it supposed to be out of 80? Cause someone told me that.

The whole thing is out of 300 UMS and you need 240 for an A. 70/80 is around 103/104 UMS so you'll need 137 UMS in the exam to get an A. 137 UMS is 48/49 out of 80.

Thats 40% of the GCSE and the exam on tuesday is 60% - you need about 75% to get an A* so thats about only 20 marks you can drop therefore:
7,7,7,12,12,18 can get you an A*

53/54

okay thanks i got 53 in my last PPE!
The confusion here (some saying out of 80, and some out of 90) is because we're all doing AQA, but, that exam board does different courses of english:

AQA English: (4700)-- http://filestore.aqa.org.uk/subjects/AQA-4700-W-SP-14.PDF
AQA English Language: (4705)-- http://filestore.aqa.org.uk/subjects/AQA-4705-W-SP-14.PDF

english Language (4705) has 80 marks for their CA, and English (4700) has 90 marks. If you got told you got 67/90, im assuming you're doing the 4700 course.

according to 2015 grade boundaries (http://filestore.aqa.org.uk/over/stat_pdf/AQA-GCSE-GDE-BDY-JUNE-2015.PDF) 67/90 is a high B. to get an A you'll need 52-53/80 marks and for an A* you'll need approximately 64-65/80.

I got 70/80
I got 69/80 so what do I need in the exam to get an A* or A overall? Thanks guys for your help.

30 marks for an essay on a book - so for me it was an OMAM essay.
20 marks for analysing the language used by todays society.
20 marks for a creative piece based on a film title.
10 marks for a creative piece based on a colour.

There are different options for the creative pieces but this is how the 80 marks are distributed .

Hmm,
for the essay on a book I got:
23/30
for the analysing Language I got:
14/20
for the creative piece based on a colour I got:
9/10
I didn't do creative piece based on film title, but A poem title and I got:
19/20

Total = 65/80 so I Literally scraped an A with last year's grade boundaries.

If anyone got the same mark as me, then in the Language exam you would need:
80% of all the marks for an A
Thus, 80% of 160 = 128
You need 128 marks in total for an A
The Language exam has 80 marks available,
128-65 = 63.
I need 63/80 for an A :colonhash: However, In my Mock exam I got 59/80, so need to do far better to obliterate this A.

If anyone wants an A* and got the same mark as me, then you would need 144 Marks in Total.
Therefore, you would need a High 79/80 for an A*
