1. Hi! I'm hoping for an a star in maths and I'm also doing my exams a year early in year 10. I am just wondering how many potential method marks you think I might get after remembering these questions I definitely got wrong. I am also confident on the fact I have got all the other questions correct (hopefully).
In the first exam I remember getting around 4 questions wrong:

1. For the ratio question, I calculated 3/5 of the total amount and worked that out as a total percentage(up to this point correct), NOT giving the amount to the next person and calculating that as 52.6* = 53 % (5)

2 For the circle in the rectangle question, I calculated both areas correctly, however added the area of the circle to the rectangle instead of subtracting.(3)

3 For the 5 Mark probability question, I did not take into account the fact that taking three counters would mean conditional probability, however i do think my method was correct without taking into account that factor.(5)

4 For the Hexagon question Instead of working out the length of each of the inside lengths then working out the angles e.t.c. I correctly worked out the area of the outer triangles and split the middle triangle into two right angled triangles, which i know is wrong, obtaining a total of 199cm2 instead of 188cm2 which is the result I am frequently seeing and is probably right.(5)

Would love to hear feedback and also potential topics for 4H
