1. For question 10, was lambda = 2+root5, e = root5 - 2? I wasn't entirely confident on this one
2. (Original post by smartalan73)
Yay thats what I got! used different values of a,b,c,d,e but am sure that won't matter
Nahh that's fine I used different values as well, there were quite a few possibilities.

3. This is what I got for question 3. Anyone agree or disagree?

Think it was something + root3 I also got root5 but a lot of people disagreed with me.

5. smartalan73 if you got the same derivative, how can they be different? I thought they are fixed values

Thats what I got too

I personally got the same I think. I stupidly didn't do open dots to represent inclusive/exclusive things though. I did full dots for included and nothing for not included, but I think I'll drop a lot of marks because of it (especially on the last graph)

I remember the question so will work through it again now.

9. I'll do question 8, if no one else is.

Ah ok, well I least got the first part as it was a show that

What questions did you do out of interest? So far it feels like you've done all the same questions as me (2,3 and 10. I also did 4, 12 and part of 1)

Ah we differ on our last 3, I did 1,2,3,8,10,13

So for the graph sketching question, I drew vertical lines between my horizontal lines, do you think this will be ok?
That's not correct since you're saying the function takes infinitely many different values for one x-value. But I'm not sure whether it would be accepted or not, IIRC they drew a couple of graphs like that in the solutions one time; I've also seen it drawn like that elsewhere, but I don't think it's strictly true.
Did you state the y-values of discontinuities? I just said that any holes I draw indicate discontinuities.
14. For question 8 how many marks for solvin iy as a linear difference equation and finding a closed form for u_n

Forgot the holes but I think I put notes adjacent to each graph stating where the discontinuities were

16. lol resolution not great there, try again

(I guess they will technically be parts of circles due to the sign concerns)

Should be good enough .

19. Did anyone do 8? That was a beautiful question
EDIT: My favourite of all my questions actually
