slazngers... are crap
If you are buying something made by slazenger for any sport, you are not serious about it.
yep slazengers are th £19.99 ones from soccer sports, i used to buy them for playing in my garden when i was about 5yrs old!
Gray Nicholls aren't too bad - but if you're after beefy bats with a massive middle I'd go for GM.

My team once had the pleasure of playing against a rather decent semi-pro Indian touring team. And on my stroll to the crease I had some interesting looks. Upon taking strike, I heard the wicketkeeper say to himself "Gray Nicholls" in a sense of astonishment, much like a 5 year old child on christmas day would say of his Playstation 3000 or whatever it is nowadays.

I preceded to make about 20-odd and was stumped dancing down the wicket to a spinner. I never heard Gray Nicholls mentioned again.

Yes that is pretty obvious most the pros have their bats specifically made to their specifications. They may even be using different bats with sticks changed. Has anyone seen people playing with the nichols fusion in real life it sounds awful due it being hollow but seems to fly off the middle! What do people think of the Asian Bats compared to the English bats?
Asian bats tend to be chunkier, and in my relatively short experience, tend to possess better middles and thicker edges. English bats are weighted better, especially Gray Nicholls. Gunn and Moore are obviously fairly chunky too, perhaps mirroring their indian counterparts. If you can get hold of a custom made bat in Asia on your travels, then by all means do, because my team's opener had one bought back by him from a friend and he makes loads of runs.

Asian bats design always look crap and when english people are batting with them it looks village. But many are as good as english bats and half the price but I dont think you can beat english bats

Go to india and buy a bat from there. I am serious though because I bought a bat for about £70. It is an SS bat and has a very sweet middle. The edge is thick and the pick up is very, very light. I am only 17 and I find it light. It is SH. If you don't wana travel I say go to your nearest cricket store. The only way to buy a good bat is to test out a range of them for yourself.

NEW ERA FOR WOODWORM

NEW ERA FOR WOODWORM Tuesday 21st August 2007

Kevin Pietersen and Andrew Flintoff will launch Woodworm into a new era when they sport their brand new cricket bats Hard Drive and Mega Bite during today’s one day international against India at the Rose Bowl, Southampton. Pietersen’s new Hard Drive will be looking to replicate the success of his previous blade The Torch, which has rattled up 2068 ODI runs at an average of 53.02 and 2898 Test runs at an average of 52.69.

Flintoff’s Mega Bite will be the third Woodworm bat he has used since signing for Woodworm in January 2003. His first bat, The Wand, and his second bat, The Flame collectively registered 2229 ODI runs at an average of 36.54 and 2738 Test runs at an average of 38.56.

The third new bat in Woodworm’s range for the 2008 trade season is Satellite.

Hard Drive, Mega Bite and Satellite will be available to buy from leading cricket retail specialists in the UK from October 2007. Woodworm’s last two seasons have seen them sell in excess of 80,000 cricket bats in the UK alone and it is expected that the simultaneous launch of 3 new Woodworm bats will drive even bigger demand.

Off the wood worm site, looks like some new bats coming out.
