English Language Help please

    I've got my English language GCSE exam next week and the thing is in my answer I need to constantly relate back to language. However, what if i made a really good point and there's evidence in the text which supports it but i can't actually identify the language used as there is no obvious one such as verb or adjective. For example say the phrase says "like the boss" to show this character copies what the boss does to enforce his power.

    You can talk about how the language creates imagery ect
