    Can you love and lose somebody without dating them.

    I really liked this girl, it felt more than likeness, it felt more like I was in love. We knew each other for ten weeks, but I was a bit of a jerk towards her and sometimes she'd be cold though most of the time she was warm and playful and we always managed to cheer each other up, one day she asked me for a hug, which felt more like a hold but I pulled away and we didn't look or speak to each other again and I just walked out of her life and haven't seen or spoken since.

    I would call that "over-enthusiastic infatuation and a failure" rather than love and lose...
