BEng to MEng?

I was told at Nottingham Uni that you can switch from BEng (AAB) to MEng (AAA) after the first year as long as you pass it. (This is with Civil Engineering) Is this common among other universities?

Yes, I have never heard of a university not allowing the switch, but it will depend on your university grades.

You will have to do better than "pass", but yes it's common to be able to switch. Depends on the university but 60%+ is often required at end of the second year.

The first 2 years are usually common anyway.

At Bath I could switch from BEng to MEng at the end of y2, as long as I had >50% avg.
