Entering for GCSE'S late

So im at the end of year 10 and taking my GCSES next year... so obviously i cant enter IT via my school because im too late. But if i teach myself GCSE IT (thats not the problem) then is there anyway i can enter myself for GCSE IT next year as an out of school GCSE (or my parents can?)

I suspect not as a large % of the overall mark is based on controlled assessment which you would have to take under supervision.
