    Can anyone give me some pointers (or tell me where I can find some) on how to answer the 'why was this source produced at this time' and 'how far do you agree with this interpretation' questions please?

    Any tips on how to answer the other questions would be greatly appreciated too but these are the two questions I am struggling with the most at the moment

    Some past papers::

    E.g, 'b) Why was Source F produced in 1944?' in this paper: http://pastpapers.download.wjec.co.uk/s15-4271-04.pdf
    you would first analyse the source, (e.g the looks of determination on the faces of the men and how the Soldier is beign supported by the older men, showing unity of all ages to fight for Germany), mention about the provenance of the source (the line at the bottom describing it.) However, the source analysis is only two of the six marks so don't dwell on it too long.

    Then to get the remaining marks you need to develop the source using your own knowledge, making sure to answer the question. make sure to :
    talk about the year. ((e.g. in 1944 germany were at total war, mention how this works)) .
    talk about the things that are key in the source, developing on them; dont just say what is given to you by the source, that gives you no marks.((talk about the volkstum in this case)

    that should do fine x
