Laser treatment?

I have had Keratosis Pilaris for years and Im wondering if laser hair removal could minimise the apperance?

I wouldn't think so personally since it isn't exactly hairs that are the issue, but I am interested to see what others think as I also have kp and would like a way to minimise it.
My doctor has suggested exfoliating and also given me an emulsifying ointment which I am currently giving a go. I think milk baths may have helped me too (just pour a cup of milk into your bath) along with a homemade sugar scrub for exfoliating (sugar, honey and rapeseed oil are a good basic mix). Deffinately made my legs feel smoother and softer.
Might be worth seeing a dermatoligist to discuss options before trying anything big like laser treatment. Considering seeing one myself if I can get a referal.
