Medicine through time periods???

Hi, just wondering what the actual NUMBER time periods are for medicine through time???i understand the names eg ancient Egypt but I don't understand what for example the 16th century is in relation to the names of the periods?
Thanks xx
Pre-historic: 10,000 BC - 3000 BC
Ancient Egypt: 3000 BC - 1000 BC
Ancient Greece: 1000 BC - 250 BC
Roman Empire: 250 BC - 500 AD
Middle Ages: 500 AD - 1400 AD
Renaissance: 1400 AD - 1750 AD (note: there is a lot of overlap between Middle Ages and Renaissance)
Industrial Period: 1750 AD - 1900 AD
20th Century: 1900 AD - 1999 AD

I hope that helped! Remember that the dates are always approximate and there's lots of overlap, particularly between deciding when the Middle Ages end and Renaissance begins. x
