1. I had a biology question and it asked me to square 0.04,
like 0.04 x 0.04. My calculator came up with 1.6x 10 (little ten) to the power of negative 3.
The answer is 0.0016 I think and I'm worried because I have an exam tomorrow and if it asks me a similar question I won't be able to answer it.
Is there any way to make my calculator show the value in the way I want it or should I buy another calculator? ty
2. 0.04² does equal 0.0016, there is no issue with the calculator, you can check the answer on any other calculator. What calculator do you have?

No, my calculator doesn't display 0.0016. It displays some weird version like 1.6 x10 (-3).
I have a CASIO fx-83ES
5. I don't understand what the problem is.

7. 1.6x10^-3 is the same as 0.0016, press the s-d button next to m+
press shift ENG
