I got 48 markss which is 2 marks away from getting a c do i sitill have a chance to get a c overall and if i do what marks should i aim to get inthe exam

Of course you still have a chance of getting a C overall! All you need to do is try and work at a safe C level (take a look at examiners reports and mark schemes for your exam board) to regain those couple of marks you've lost.

It's not really possible to tell you which amount of marks you need to get in the exam because grade boundaries change every year thus making it difficult to predict.

I suggest taking a look at all the AOs for your exam and concentrating on trying to hit all of them in your exam meaning you're giving the examiner exactly what they're looking for. Spending a couple of minutes writing a bullet point plan for your essay will also help a lot!

    Good luck
