I got the same:laugh:

This is correct fo sure
Original post by C0balt
I should think so. I'm not too sure whether you'd get 7/7 or lose a mark for the second part however, I haven't studied maths mark scheme as much as with science subjects lol

You will lose out a mark on final answer A1 so 6/7

2 marks max or given its correct in radians maybe 1
Marks were for
Identity
Two brackets
Cos= -1/6 and 1
Two marks for correct solutions
Radians loses one

In all serius maybe lose A1,A2 for the answer been wrong unless it falls into special case aqa should just use graidians all the time

I'm so confused😅 Do you remember the coordinates of A and B and then the line equation? I'm gonna attempt it but vectors are evil so I'll probably mess up

I can't, sorry! :frown:

It's on the previous page as an attachment so don't worry  I'll try it and get back to you
Is there an unofficial MS?

Bye bye uni

That's how I'm feeling too

Someone help me by telling me the method to the part c of vectors tyvm i think i got it wrong :c.

So how i did it was using the point of intersection (which i called Q)
lAQl=3lQBl (those are mod signs  )
got mod AQ as 140/3 then as you know b lies on line L2, you do line L2-Q and you get a nice little quadratic which gives lambda values, then just sub them in
Was the direction vector of l2 (3,-5,-1) or (3,-5,1)?

I did it again and found mu as 1/2... I reckon we might have found vector AB incorrectly? Possibly writing OB and OA the wrong way around?

And 2/3 for part a)?

(3, -5, 1)

(3, -5, 1)

Ffs, would I only lose one mark for getting costheta as 92/140 and not 52/140 as I got the sign wrong?

Anyone remember question 4? I want to have a go at it again
Would I get a mark for finding the length of CD for 6c), or is that irrelevant?

I'm counting on it

I messed up the coefficients for A and B in first question but i answered the the binomial correctly using my incorrect A and B, will I only lose the marks for incorrect coefficients?

BTW: Did anyone get 1/3 and 5/3 for lambda values?

I am in a similar position, pretty much every class test I have done resulted in an A*, but now I don't even know. Will your university place be affected?

Mine will be. I have a 2A*A offer from imperial and after these 2 exams which were not just hard but unfair, its pretty much over. Especially after i had a nose bleed in my chem f324 exam. Been a terrible week.
