Okay so I have my selection interview coming up and I need to know the elements of basic training at RAF Halton. The AFCO gave me a booklet to learn from, but they said that part of it was now out of date.

Does anyone know the current RAF basic training schedule as of June 2016? Especially what happens within the first 3 weeks.

They have switched it up a bit from when I did my training earlier this year. All that has switched is just some of the days stuff is done on mod one, But the general outline of the course is pretty much the same.

Course is split down into 3 modules. First 4 weeks will be mod 1. Its mainly classroom based but its full of general service knowledge, drill lessons, phys, kit prep lessons. You will have a few inspections. 2 main inspections with a few mock inspections thrown in, theory exam and mocks, drill exam. There will be a day you go to Hendon museum and 1 week of AT

Mod 2 which is the next 4 weeks is all the ifpt stuff down at the regiment. All the force protection stuff with theory and practical, phys, the 1 week exercise at the end.

Mod 3 is pretty much just grad prep and doing arms drill. Get your last main inspection and then last fitness test while you are there.

Thanks for your reply, this will be very helpful to me.

Quick question though, what does AT stand for?
