Start working as soon as you can, you'll thank yourself in the long run when you don't have piles and piles of work to do
Try your best to do all your homework and definitely ask when you're unsure of something. Also, set aside times for studying using a study timetable / planner and allocate time slots for each subject (longer if it's a hard subject, shorter if it's one you find easier). This lets you spend time on things that really matter and will benefit you.
Not much else I think, just try stay motivated and plan plan plan

Start revising ASAP. i left all my revision to about a month before my first exam (Higher English), BAD IDEA. work just piles and piles until you know you've got two days before your next exam and you haven't even started revising for it. Im so relieved my exams are over this year, and I've learnt from this mistake. revise from the very beginning, stay on top of everything and then revising towards exam period will be a lot easier! Don't do what i did and leave revision until prelim/exam time!!! I never bothered with a study timetable, depends on the person really, if you did N5's this year you'll know if you like using a study timetable or not, just not for me (i end up making one up then not sticking to it). Do all of your homework, get help with anything your not sure of because it will probably be in your exam. but main thing is revise from start and don't leave it to the end.
